Installing a faucet or sink looks straightforward in online tutorial videos, but the reality under your cabinet is often different. Corroded supply valves that break when you try to turn them. Drain connections that do not align with the new fixture. Mounting holes that need modification. Supply line sizes that do not match. A homeowner who starts a faucet replacement on Saturday morning can find themselves without a functioning kitchen sink by Saturday night, with parts they do not have and connections they cannot make.
Professional fixture installation eliminates these risks. Our plumbers arrive with the tools, parts, and experience to handle whatever conditions exist under your sink or behind your shower wall. We replace corroded shut-off valves while the lines are already disconnected. We modify drain connections to fit new fixture configurations. We identify and resolve compatibility issues before they become problems. The fixture is installed correctly the first time, tested for leaks, and backed by our workmanship guarantee.

Many homeowners prefer to shop for their own faucets, sinks, and fixtures, choosing exactly the style, finish, and features they want. We are happy to install whatever you purchase from any retailer or online source. We work with every major manufacturer — Moen, Delta, Kohler, American Standard, Grohe, Hansgrohe, Pfister, TOTO, and others — and we are familiar with the installation requirements of each brand’s product lines.
If you prefer guidance on fixture selection, we can recommend options based on your needs, budget, and the plumbing configuration in your home. We help you avoid common compatibility issues — faucets that do not fit existing mounting holes, shower valves with wrong rough-in dimensions, or sinks that require different drain assemblies than what is currently installed. A brief consultation before you purchase can prevent returns, exchanges, and installation delays.
Install your fixtures
Not every fixture problem requires a new fixture. A dripping faucet almost always needs only a new cartridge or O-ring — a repair that costs a fraction of a new faucet and takes less than an hour. A stiff or loose handle is usually a worn cartridge. A showerhead with poor flow may just need descaling or a new flow restrictor. These targeted repairs extend the life of your existing fixtures and save you the cost of replacement.
We assess every fixture problem honestly and recommend repair when it makes sense. Replacement is the better option when the fixture is corroded or cracked, when replacement parts are no longer available for the model, when the fixture is outdated and you want an aesthetic upgrade, or when multiple components have failed simultaneously. We give you the cost of both repair and replacement so you can make an informed decision based on the numbers, not a sales pitch.
Repair or replace
The kitchen faucet is the hardest-working fixture in your home — turned on and off dozens of times daily for cooking, cleaning, and drinking water. When it starts dripping, losing pressure, or failing to switch between spray modes, the irritation is constant. Modern kitchen faucets offer features that older models lack: pull-down sprayers with multiple spray patterns, touchless activation, integrated water filtration, and finishes that resist fingerprints and water spots.
Our kitchen faucet installation includes removing the old faucet and cleaning the mounting surface, installing the new faucet with all mounting hardware and connections, connecting the hot and cold supply lines with new braided stainless steel lines, connecting the sprayer hose and any accessories, and testing for leaks at every connection. We also recommend replacing the shut-off valves under the sink if they are original to the home — old gate-style valves are notorious for failing to shut off completely or leaking when operated after years of disuse.

The shower valve is the heart of your shower system, controlling water temperature and flow. A failing shower valve causes temperature swings when someone flushes a toilet or starts the dishwasher, difficulty maintaining a comfortable temperature, reduced water pressure, and leaks behind the shower wall. Replacing a shower valve is a more involved project than most fixture installations because the valve is accessed through the wall behind the shower, requiring careful work to avoid damaging tile or shower surround materials.
We install single-handle, dual-handle, and thermostatic shower valves and trim kits. Thermostatic valves maintain a precise temperature regardless of pressure changes elsewhere in the system — no more cold blasts when someone flushes. For homeowners upgrading to multi-head shower systems with rain heads, body sprays, and handheld wands, we install the appropriate valve and piping to support simultaneous operation of all heads with adequate pressure.

Sink installation varies significantly depending on the type. Drop-in sinks set into a pre-cut countertop opening with a visible rim. Undermount sinks attach below the countertop for a seamless look. Farmhouse sinks extend past the cabinet face and require a compatible base cabinet. Vessel sinks sit on top of the counter with a different faucet and drain configuration than standard sinks. Each type has specific plumbing requirements for the drain assembly, supply connections, and mounting method.
We install all sink types in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and utility areas. Our installation includes the drain assembly, P-trap, supply line connections, garbage disposal connection (for kitchen sinks), and any modifications needed to accommodate a different sink style than what was previously installed. For new sink installations where no plumbing currently exists, we run new supply and drain lines to the location, including the vent pipe required by code.

Bathtub installation ranges from a straightforward alcove tub replacement to complex installations of freestanding soaking tubs, whirlpool tubs, and air massage tubs. A standard alcove tub replacement involves removing the old tub, inspecting the drain and overflow connections, installing the new tub with proper leveling and support, connecting the drain assembly, and installing the tub spout and shower valve trim. The plumbing connections must be watertight and properly vented to prevent slow drainage.
Freestanding tubs require a different approach. The drain connection must accommodate the tub’s freestanding position, which usually means a floor-mounted or wall-mounted drain connection rather than the standard alcove drain. A freestanding tub filler — either a floor-mounted faucet or a wall-mounted spout — replaces the standard tub-mounted spout. Whirlpool and air tubs need electrical connections for the pump motor in addition to the plumbing connections. We handle all tub types and coordinate with tile installers and contractors when the tub installation is part of a larger bathroom renovation.

Portland-Vancouver homeowners who enjoy their outdoor spaces often want plumbing fixtures outside the house. Hose bibs for garden watering and car washing, outdoor sinks for garden cleanup and entertaining, and outdoor showers for pool areas or post-gardening rinse-offs all require proper plumbing connections that are designed to withstand outdoor conditions and Pacific Northwest freezing temperatures.
We install frost-free hose bibs that are designed to prevent freezing by positioning the shut-off valve inside the heated portion of the wall rather than at the exterior. Outdoor sinks require both hot and cold water supply lines routed to the exterior, a drain connection that meets code, and fixtures rated for outdoor use. Outdoor showers need supply lines, a mixing valve, proper drainage, and consideration for privacy and water runoff. Every outdoor installation is planned to prevent freeze damage, ensure proper drainage, and comply with local plumbing codes.

Absolutely. Many homeowners prefer to shop for their own faucets and fixtures, and we are happy to install whatever you purchase. We recommend choosing a reputable brand with readily available replacement parts (Moen, Delta, Kohler, American Standard, Grohe) to ensure long-term reliability and easy future repairs. If you need help choosing, we can also recommend and source fixtures for you.
A standard faucet replacement on an existing sink takes about one to two hours, including removal of the old faucet, installation of the new one, and testing. If the plumbing under the sink needs modifications — new supply line sizes, shut-off valve replacement, or drain reconfiguration — the time may be longer. We provide a time estimate before starting.
If your shut-off valves (angle stops) are original to the home and more than 15 to 20 years old, we recommend replacing them at the same time as the faucet. Old gate-style shut-off valves are notorious for failing to shut off completely or for leaking when operated after years of disuse. Replacing them with modern quarter-turn ball valves while the supply lines are already disconnected is inexpensive and prevents a common failure point.
Yes, but this is a more involved project than replacing an existing fixture. Adding a new sink requires running new water supply lines (hot and cold) to the location, installing a new drain line that connects to the existing drain system, and installing a vent pipe. We evaluate the best routing for the new plumbing, provide a detailed quote, and handle the full installation including any drywall openings and patching.
Many fixture problems can be resolved with a repair — replacing a worn cartridge in a faucet, fixing a diverter in a shower, replacing a sprayer hose, or tightening a loose handle. These repairs are straightforward and cost-effective. Replacement is warranted when the fixture is corroded, cracked, outdated, or when replacement parts are no longer available. We assess the situation and recommend the most cost-effective approach.
Yes. We install all types of shower systems, from basic showerhead replacements to multi-head setups with body sprays, rain heads, and handheld sprayers. Complex shower systems require proper valve sizing and water pressure to operate all heads simultaneously. We evaluate your water supply capacity and recommend the right valve and piping to support the system you want.
